Albert & Rebecca Moore -

We bought a Bravetti Platinum Pro in jan,2004. By march, the heating element stopped working. We called the company numerous times, each time we managed to get through to them they gave us the run around, saying at first that the item has a reset button(we didn't have one on ours)And then saying that the part was back ordered, and in europe. Finally we'd had enough, and threatened to report them to our local BBB. Within three days we recieved a "new" part in the mail. That night we filled up the fryer, plugged it in, and nothing happened. We are now planning to send the unit back to Bravetti.

Dorothy -

On the 3rd time we tried using the Bravetti deep fryer, which I purchased on 07/27/04, the plug-in cord unit would not stay in. Why in the owrld did they make something like this? We had trouble from day one with this thing. It keeps falling out. No matter what we do, and no matter who tries to plug it in, it still won't stay in. I paid good money for this thing and would like to use it. I keep trying to call the company, but they will never answer. So, I will go thru HSN and see if they can help me. If not, I will report them to my credit card company and hopefully they will help me.

Ellen -

Does anybody have a contact number for Bravetti? I purchased a deep fryer about 6 months ago... and it's been in storage for 2 of those months... and suddenly the heating element doesn't work anymore. I can't find a contact number or website for customer service. Can anybody help? I've tried pushing the reset button. Nothing happens.

Audrey -

Hi

We purchased 6 of these deep fryers for our children for Christmas 2002 - by the end of the summer (2004) 3 of them no longer work. Since my kids use them, maybe once every other month or so - this is crazy. I too am interested in a contact name or phone number for Bravetti.

Hope someone has better luck getting this information.

Thanks

Jeff -

Same thing here.. plug falling out, when it stays in, it's dead..
My manual lists the following information...

Euro-Pro Corporation
178 West Service Rd
Champlain, NY 12919
800-798-7398

There is a year warrenty that costs you $15 to take advantage of.

Leon Coleman -

I am so glad I had the chance to read some of the stories about this product. I've seen this product on HSN.COM TV show and was thinking of making a purchase. I think I will stick with what I have for now.

William T. Stinson -

Used my deep fryer four times in two years now it will not work need parts or contact number. don't wast your money on this product unless you only need to use it a couple times it won't work after that.

bill darnell -

thanks to all who provide input. it is a valuable service to us, the consumers. my wife purchased a euro-pro product, a bravetti food processor. i beieve this company, a foreign one, is one of those nightmare companies that you wish you hadn't spent your money with. difficult, if not impossible to get customer service. i have spoken to their c.s.(in india) five times. each time they said they would e-mail me a manual. at the end of a week now more, still not here. i even asked to speak with a supervisor who said the same. i am right now on the phone to their corporate headquarters in canada and have been hold for one hour and ten minutes and still counting. once i speak to someone, doubtful if i will at this point, i also doubt i will ever get a simple service. from now on, i will not purchase ever from this company again to do my small part. i hope i have enlightened you

bill darnell -

a follow-up to my post yesterday. after one hour and twenty minutes on electronic hold, you know, every minute, "our customer service is busy, we will be right with you, please hold". well finally i spoke to the nicest man who apologized that i hadn't received the manual. he said," I'll send it to you WITHIN THE NEXT FEW MINUTES, anything else i can do for you?" What a nice guy. that was yesterday, I still have NOT received the manual.

Ed -

We're returning our Bravetti deep fryer tomorrow. The reset button keeps popping out. It doesn't even get to the right temp before it happens. For 150.00,I expect something reliable.
This unit was recommended on one of those cooking shows. What a joke.

ROBERT WRIGHT -

Charles Perkins -

Got at yard sale. How do you turn this #&*%@! thing on?

KJ -

i have not had any of the problems you speak of i have bought two deep fryers. one for myself and one for my mother..the only problem i am having is all of a sudden the fryer when on is starting to burn the eyes of everyone in the house, and the smell stays in the house for days. and that is when i fry fish or chicken..and even with fresh oil..anyone else having that problem?. and my wife is very clean so she really cleans the fryer all the time.

Isy Graves -

My husband bought the bravitti fryer for me as a gift. I am lucky if it will cook anything without shutting off the reset button on back of control a little red one will not reset unless the unit is completely cold. The one on the front does nothing. I like the unit but I sure wish it would work something is very wrong here so many complaints about the unit all the same kind, the heating. I think the company should make good to it's customers for without us they will not be in business.

paul pare -

don,t lost time to raech euro pro just what i did go to a small appliance thecnician repair shop the proble is a condensor (kind a fuse) who control the thermostar tis cost around $20.00 it is that simple. please let me know. Paul

denise -

I bought the Bravetti food processor at a yard sale. Luckily I only paid $5.00 for it but there are no instructions included. Does anyone know where I can get an instruction manual. Sounds like a lot of people have had problems with this company and their equipment. I figure I can't go too wrong with only a $5.00 investment but I don't won't to spend a fortune trying to get a manual. Thanks. Denise

Gary Velfling -

I have had and do have euro pro, bravetti, ultrex and others. Have had NO problems except the temp marks are not accurate but only takes a little time and use to learn how to set. The only one I had a real problem with is a bravetti convection oven which I liked so well that it ended up being too small. I still have it but replaced it with an ultrex wich is larger and also works well. I think most of the reveiws are from having a problem ( real or operator error ). With the thousands of units sold seems odd that not many good reviews. Also, if anyone could tell me of an electric appliance built in the USA let me know, Ive only seen foreign manufactures even on the good ol' name brands.
Hope this helps -Gary-

Jack Repp -

I am very frustrated with my bravetti platium pro. My plug won't stay in. I've had it about 1 year, this should not happen. It will work about 2 to 3 minutes, then stop. If I jiggle the plug, it will start again. I'll never buy one again, they call it a safety plug, they aren't kidding.... it never works...

Fran Hodgkinson -

I too have the Professional 5.0 deep fryer. What a pain in the neck. The plug won't stay in and the reset button keeps popping out. Once the unit heats to temperature desired and you cook one batch, the reset button pops out and you have to wait at least 20 minutes to reset it. By then the party is over. What a piece of garbage.

Sean McLoughlin -

I also bought the Bravetti Platinum Pro Deep Fryer (model# K4320H) and it has stopped working... worked GREAT the two oil changes. As usual, I wiped the element with a paper towel, washed out the oil container, let it thoroughly dry, added new oil and plugged it in... NOTHING! Absolutely dead! The reset button is firmly pushed in... It is just a piece of garbage now... By the time I ship it back to Euro-Pro under warranty and pay the return shipping and all the hassle I may as well go out and buy a real QUALITY product.

eddie moyett -

WE went on vacation and lost the plug to the bravetti plattinum plus model F1063 where can i get a new plug.

P Brooks -

I bought the Deep Fryer in March and went to use it today and it won't even come on. I called the company and they said to push a red reset button, there is no red reset button, only a black button. It still did not work. I called again and they are sending me a new panel, Hope this one works. If not it is a piece of trash. Will never buy anything that has Euro Pro on it.

Natalie Tougas -

I received the Bravetti deep fryer a year ago. I purchased it from Canadian Tire. Unfortunatly I lost the plug it while moving. If anyone could help me replace it that would be wondeful. The model # id bs155.
Please e-mail me if you could help me out. Thanxs

Judy -

You can go to the Euro-pro website to get a manualand replacement cords. euro-pro.com

Thomas "Marc" Marbury -

This product sucks! Don't waste your money or your time.

Happy Owner -

You people have a screw loose. I've had the Bravetti Pro for a couple of years now. It's used monthly and it fries EVERYTHING from perfect fries to juicy chicken to soft doughnuts. No issues. Not a one. Yes, it's a b*tch to clean, but so is the rest of my house.

No, I don't work for Bravetti, Europro, Ultrex, Haliburton or Worldcom. I'm just not going to join the 'bash' parade on a product I know works well. Buy it - it's cheap - it's tasty - it's quick - and it's fun! Spend the money and help the economy. Lord knows we could use it after Katrina.

Rebecca -

I have a bravetti crock pot and don't have any instructions to come w/it. A friend gave it to me. Where can I find an instruction manual? Does anyone have bravetti's contact info by any chance?

d doucette -

i need a cord to see if this one works. it's model #bf155. i bought is used it would also be great to get a manual.
i'll reserve my opinion on it till I hope to be able to try it.

eddie moyett -

I SENT FOR A CORD 5WKS. AGO I'M STILL WAITING

Sam -

I too have had a couple of good years of great service out of the platinum pro deep fryer, however, the last time I used it I was on my fourth batch of chicken wings, and right as I was ready to take them out, the unit shut off by itself and does not work at all anymore. I truly loved this deep fryer for a long time. My plug was pretty loose, but I think it only came out once by itself. For crying out loud, tape the damn thing on if it falls out on you. I just wish that was the only problem that I had with the fryer. Like I said the darn thing stopped working after probably 100 or so batches and will do nothing. The reset button on back is firmly pushed all the way in, and there is no reset button on the front.

Very Unhappy -

I called for a replacement cord over a year ago.. My Cord caught fire when i first purchased it. Good luck waiting all. I called today & was told its no longer under warrenty & i have to pay for it cause they cant find any of the info in their computer. I have been calling monthly wondering where it is, to be told its on its way. Now they want me to pay for it ha! My Cord caught fire when i first purchased it.

Pierre Cazanave -

we opened up our new Brevetti Deep Fryer, cleaned it as instrected to do. Purchased 5L of oil,
shrimp, and several other items. placed the oil in the unit, pluged in the cord, switched it on,
and nothing happened. we reset the reset, with no
results. thanks for your QULITY CONTROL. it didnot work. we called BREVETTI, they said send back the heating unit they would repair it. I will send the hole piece of junk back, and buy an american made unit. shame on you, and me for waisting my time.

Harris Thompson -

We purchased our Bravetti Platinum Pro off the HSN a couple of years ago. We have used it almost weekly to fry corn chips, chicken, donuts, funnel cakes, and French fries. It has thrown our circuit break several times, but has worked like a dream until now. Pluged it and the heating unit was dead as a door nail. After reading all of the other comments we feel very fortunate to have gotten 2 good years out of it. We loved it and we were looking on e-bay to buy another one. Now I'm scared!

Bridget Buder -

My parents purchased the Bravetti deepfryer for me and my family last year for Christmas. This week my husband pluged it in to make fries for our children and after a few minutes of warming up it began to bubble. He unplugged it when it began to lift off the stove he was using as a counter as it bubbled and boiled. When he turned to check it the lid blew off sending grease all over the kitchen counters, appliances, walls and ceiling not to mention his face, hands and clothing. Please becareful-do you have small children? Thank God ours were out of the room.

Ed Cox -

Oh the joy I have had with my Bravetti Deep fryer! Yes, It caused me some headaches. Loose cords, misaligned heating element engage swith...and now...its totally dead...dead as a doornail!
I am on the hunt for a new one....I bought it from HSN 3 years ago, for less than $100 (including shipping) and I truely used it up. I cook fries at least twice a week, shrimp and fish every Friday. I make killer fried chicken almost every Wednesday for Church Fellowship meals, at least 4 lbs of tenderloins each week...egg rolls, onion rings, you name it I have cooked it in my bleoved deep fryer.

But its now dead...I wore it out!
I had lots of problems and wouldnt reccomend this brand to anyone. I had to rig it several times, at great loss of patience and brain cells, but I did enjoy mine overall.

Get a deep fryer if you really want some great tasting food! Use canola oil and filter it each time...and you will fall in love as well!

I purchased the Bravetti Deep Fryer, over 3 years ago, worked like a charm, then I lost the cord when I moved. I found the information for the Bravetti Euro-Pro Platinum Pro mode EP1063xx. The number for questions is: 1 800 798-7398 or 1 514-842-8691. Hope that helps someone, as much as the information that others have provided! Thanks for sharing! Pay it forward!!

Joy -

I purchased my Bravetti Flash Fryer a few years ago from HSN...I love it...on New Years Eve this year the elememt started burning and melted the plastic around it...I just hope that I can get it replaced as I miss being able to fry my food and not get heartburn from it...no other fryer that I have tried will do that for me.

Kathleen Vaughan -

I bought the Bravetti deep fryer in September 2004. It worked quite well till a week ago and the heating element wouldn't work so my husband sat down with it to see what was wrong and realised there was a reset button. He pushed it and tried it and it is back working like a charm. He cooks french fries in that thing at least 4 times a week. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that the reset button is not even mentioned in the booklet that came with the deep fryer. It was only by chance that he found it. I wish the booklet would explain more.

Scott O. -

People, you may have no idea just what a dangerous product you have. The Bravetti Platinum Pro deep fryer we bought turns out to be a serious FIRE HAZARD. The on/off switch on our unit seemed to be a bit loose feeling, but the fryer still worked. Tonight when I went to fry some onion rings, the unit quit altogether. The reset which is a circuit braker did not trip. I am an electronics engineer and desided to open the thing up to see what was wrong. When I got in I found the switch not just blown, but burned to a bloody crisp. Not happy to see that. The internal breaker should have tripped!!!!! This is a dangerous product. The components are inferior and I will warn everyone I know to never BLOW their money on this crap!!!!! If I were to produce garbage such as this I would be sued, and I think they should be! Please warn your friends that own this junk to return it or just STOP using before something terrible happens to someone. March 22, 2006.

M.J. -

Bravetti is a peice of crap product that ended up costing me about $80 bucks for one batch of ff's before the thing quit heating up. I spit on the Bravetti name. It is just anoher word for rip off theif. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!

vardrick johnson -

Do you know if you can replace the heating element which is a dial with a ditagal.

dave morkowski -

The pull away cord is a royal pain in the butt. Took a half hour just to get it to work.Once this happened 3 times in a row, i threw it out. i will NEVER BUY another product from bravetti again.

Becky -

We purchased our Bravetti Platinum Pro from HSN about 3 yrs ago. Never had one ounce of problems out of it until about 6 months ago when the cord wouldn't stay in. We finally had to quit using it because the end of the cord is melted. We really liked this fryer. The size was perfect. HSN was contacted right away and we were told that they don't sell the Bravetti Fryers. And we know that is where we bought it from. After reading all these comments about it, we were looking to purchase a new one, but will not buy from them. Guess we'll just go to WalMart and buy one there....Atleast then if we have a problem, we can take it back.....

wanda -

Hi, I have a bravetti pro f1063. I lost my cord when I moved. If anyone knows of how I can purchase one please inform me at my email.
Thank you,
wanda

CEE -

I purchased the Bravetti deep fryer about 4 years ago. Loved it. Worked about 2 years perfect results. Was having a fish fry for about 25 people. Got through the 1st batch just fine. Then it happened, it went dead!
So much for the rest of the fish fry.
My friends thought enough of me the paid for a replacement. The original model (3.5 liter) was no longer available, so I purchased the 5.5 liter.
NEVER WORKED!!!!!!!
I hate that because I really liked this product. Called Euro-Pro @
1800-798-7398. Was told to return it and they would repair it
(in approx. 4-6 weeks). I am crossing my fingers on this.

For those with plug issues all I did was use a power cord from an old computer. Used a knife to scrape off a bit of the top until I had a perfectly snug conection.

Works great

Carolyne Bilodeau -

We had this piece of crap last december for xmas.
My brother in law thought it would be a great gift since we have a big familly (6 ppl)
He bought us the F1063 B, wich is the 5 litres one.
Looks great but it's a real piece of shit.
Since when we had it, it fucked up like 5 times.
It would stop working while frying, the lights wouldn't turn on, the thing would heat like no tomorrow, its wouldn't turn off or simply just wouldn't start at all.
3 days ago it just dropped dead so my husband returned it to canadian tire.
we didn,t have the receipt cause it was a gift but lucky we are, my brother in law use to work there and YES YOU CAN EXCHANGE STUFF WITHOUT RECEIP at canadian tire but they"ll argue like hell not to do so.
Anyways, he brought the new one home and i used it.
Yesterday i was going to fry schrimps but NADA, nothing, wouldnt even lite up.
Great, so we tried everything to make it work and still nothing.
I called Canadian tire and asked for an exchange for another deep fryer cause this is just ridiculous and the guy was ready to exchange the damn thing for another one that worth nothing more than 50.00 $ !!!! that damn thing cost my brother in law 100.00 $$ !!! Jesus Christ !!!
Anyways ... we exchanged the damn thing for the same thing ... again..
I used it last night and it was ok.. but the question is ...
will it work next time ????
My opinion ... don't buy that piece of crap unless you are ready to go exchange it every once in a while till there are no more.
eventually the damn company is gonna make a recall about that ...
i hope ... lol...
cause canadian tire is really gonna be sicken tired of seing us ...lmao

denika lewis -

I have the smaller version which i find is to small. It was bought for us for christmas and about a week ago it starting smoking around the knob. That night i got a call from a friend who had bought the exact same one at christmas as well and she said are u having any issues with your fryer and i told her as a matter of fact i am it happens that we were both having the exact same issue with smoke coming out of the knob. We both bought them at canadian tire, i'm returning mine tonight wish me luck.

Christina -

I called 1800-798-7398. In talking to a real person I was told to hit the reset button on the back, I did this to no avail the situation, therefore they are suppose to be sending me a new control panel and gave me that warranty over the phone. Suppose to recieve it in the next 4-6 weeks, Well lets just hope so, from all that I have read on here and from other people this deep fryer SUCKS and stops working all the time. Well if it does I guess they will be getting calls from me all the time, Paid good money for it and the company will have to keep fixing or sending parts until the warranty runs out....LOL

I have an older model,EP65, Brevetti Platinum Pro 4 liter fryer, given to me used, and in nice condition. Upon close examination of the control panel,I discovered cracks in the lower portion of it. Heat fatigue I thought, and proceeded to repair with epoxy, worked fine. Today after usage and a one hour cooldown we attemped to pickup and move the fryer Body... a near disaster.!.one of the plastic handles broke off of the body. They aro pop-riveted on to the side, it appears the plastic surronding the rivet softened.I'll be changing them to metal ones . This model has a hard wired power cord,so no loose or lost cords. And never ever move a hot fryer!

Bobby Regensburger -

I purchased this so called deep fryer platinum and didn't even get to use it once..i filled it with oil and it lit up and then went out and never went on again ...of course when i called hsn they said the warranty was out....so now i have a planter...

Michele -

I PURCHASED THIS DEEP FRYER NOVEMBER. USED IT TWICE, PULLED IT OUT LAST NIGHT. FRIED ONE BATCH OF CHICKEN (IT JUST DIED) TRIED RESET BUTTON. WISH I HAD NEVER BOUGHT THIS PIECE OF CRAP.

phyllis cameron -

I just arrived home with my new pro bravetti deepfryer and am looking forward to using it.I would very much like to have some reciepts to try, like fish&chips. thank you

theresadurdle -

I love my new deep fryer. It cooks like a dream and I can cook lots in a short period of time. With our family reunion coming upin a few weeks, I am really glad to have made this purchase. This appliance is super easy to clean. However, I wish to caution you that when you take it apart to clean, be very cautious of the bottom edge on the outside housing. It is razor sharp! I cut both of my hands yesterday while cleaning this. Hopefully this little matter can be corrected on future models. Thanks so much for making such a wonderful fryer

GelaBella -

Got my second Euro-pro F1063B from Crappy Tire, in edmonoton. It too will not work.. won't turn on nothing
no power light no heat, no Fish & Chips.. I wish I had seen this site be for I purchased this crap box..

Janet -

I ordered my Bravetti Platinum Pro flash fryer from HSN more than two years ago and have had absolutely no problems. Between my husband and I, we use this unit more than three times a week. Our schedules are like night and day. We also have a teenager who uses it to make fries almost daily. While I agree the cord is short, I also understand the safety precaution for this. It's so easy to use and takes mere minutes to cook. Recently we have been using it to fry catfish and it's so delicious. Crispy outside, tender/flaky inside. And to top that off, there is no fishy smell lingering. The filter works wonders. It's also super easy to clean, I throw everything into the dishwasher except for the coil unit (of course). It does have a reset button on the back but I've never had to use it. In fact, I just happened across this site, looking for another to buy as a gift. I guess I got really lucky with my Bravetti and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

wingsgirl -

I love my unit. I thought I had a problem but after half an hour of frustration I came to realize that after i put my deep fryer back together, filling it and pressing the reset button it did not work. I was looking to take it apart and pack it up when I realized that when I put it back together I had not put the heating element on the tracks properly and apparently that is a fail safe that will not allow it to turn back on. After putting in its tracks, it started working again. YEAH!

Shilo -

I have had a bravetti pro for years and have had no problem with it. Only this is,when i use it now,the smell remains in the house for days. It is clean with fresh oil and still smells. Is there some place that i can get a new filter, which goes in the lid??

longislandlinda -

maybe i shouldn't say anything, but i'm on my 5th year of biss with my Bravetti deep fryer. i do, however, need a new filter. Like the earlier reply, i only found this site in an effort to order a new filter, or a new fryer. maybe i'll just count my lucky stars and put up with the smell

Dave from Kalama -

Hmmmm. Another lemon. Mine worked great for a year or so.... until the reset popped off. After it cooled... I reset it... fired it up... and it said it was hot and up to temp... but the oil was just warm. I fiddled with the heat settings a few times... now it is in the 'melt down' setting. It is locked in 'heat' mode. Can't even give this thing to Goodwill. I'm going shopping for something that is NOT MADE IN CHINA!!!

Mike -

Just bought, did ONE session of french fries. 1 week later, plug it in and it doesn't even turn on. A PIECE OF CRAP through and through.

Javad -

Hi
I also have a Bravetti model BP101H2 which I bought through eBay with no manual!
Please, if the model matches yours or anyones and have the manual contact me, I appreciate.

Thanks
Javad

Tracie -

Yes, I too have to deal with the lingering smell for days after cooking with my Bravetti Platinum Pro Model EP65. I have had this unit for a couple of years; however, not until the last couple of uses did I start experiencing this problem. In fact, I am hesitant to use it when company comes because of the odor. I always keep my appliance clean and use fresh oil. The smell can almost choke a horse. My only guess is that it has to be the filter. I am now desperately seeking info in finding a new filter replacement because other than that my unit works fine. If anyone knows where or how I can obtain this, please comment. Thank you.

debbie -

hi I am also in need of a new filter please if you know where to get one please let me know Thank you Debbie

William Bougie -

Hi, I have a few Bravetti appliances purchased if only for 1 reason - The look. The only item I had a problem with so far - is the Deep Fryer. I had some guests over for a BBQ - and decided to make some home fries to go with the burgers. I pressed the " On " switch, and a large spark came from it!
After that - I coulden't use the Deep Fryer - The " On " switch was damaged.

It could have been my fault, because I did have the Deep Fryer on the counter, but under the kitchen cabinet at the time. Maybe some of the oil steam got into the " On " switch - But - Woulden't you think there would be some sort of prevention or protection that woulden't allow that to happen?
Even some sort of rubber stopper or something? What about some type of fuse?

I don't know - Maybe the people who tested this product, did so in the wide open air in a backyard - but apartment dwellers like myself are limited to counter space. If the oil was hot, coulden't a big spark like that cause a oil fire? Wow - Just thinking about it scares me.

I did return it to CanadianTire, and they did give me another, with no problems what-so-ever :) I was still under a 1 year warranty with them.

But - As for the Deep Fryer - I only use it now - On my stovetop, with the air exaust on full, just to make sure no oil gets into the " On " switch. Bravetti should fix that switch problem ASAP before someone's house burns.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a recall?

Miles Currie -

I received a Bravetti f1063b for Christmas, this unit lasted about 5 minutes and it quit in the middle of cooking fries, How can this company sell this piece of junk and sleep at night. Spent 40 minutes on the help line and I am still no better off. I guess I will take it to the shooting range and it will make a nice shinny target.

I also bought the worse deep fryer known to man....the Bravetti. I don't have a cord problem....it only goes on one way so it doesn't fall out....my problem is the power switch. It decided one day to stop working. I thought I'd be smart and open it up to bypass the switch so that it's on as soon as I plug it in. OMG....it's like the company purposely stops you from doing this....there is one screw that is stripped so bad, nothing will loosen it. Mine is going back to Canadian Tire ASAP...and I'll be getting another brand!!!

I dunno what you people are doing to your fryers. I bought 3 of them ( the 5 litre pro) in 2003, I use them commercially at my snack bar. They are on 6 days a week for 6 hours a day, and Ive not had any trouble with them. Im just looking to get some new and extra baskets for them. I cant find them at CTC where I originally bought them. Heres a tip for everyone: Dont use "oil" in them, -use solid shortening or lard. This is what restaurants fry with and your food will taste better and have a nicer finished texture.

I bought a bravetti platinum pro 8l digital flash fryer. Don't get my wrong..... I love it. The problem I had is this... I've not had it a year and the part that heats the oil doesn't work anymore. I would love some information on how to get it replaced and how much it'll cost but I can't seem to get a direct number to get in touch with them. Can someone please help. I really miss my fryer.

I have gotten great pleasure from reading these reviews, because I also agree the bravetti deep fryer is a piece of junk. I have used a couple other companies enclosed style deep fryers, lid is secure and element is in the appliance, not exposed, that also takes less oil and have been easy to use and clean and very safe with never an over flow of hot, boiling oil. I used the bravetti once, clean up is torture and the idea of having to remove the element to clean is stupid, my advice is buy maybe a Toastess Elegance, elemnt is enclosed and it too has a stainless steel exterior. So I took the piece of crap back to Canadian Tire, got the thing for half price originally, and easily exchanged it. The funny thing is someone else was returning one of the bravetti crockpots, glad I know about this company now and their inferior products.

Add me to the "lucky" buyers of this item. It has worked well for me for about 4 years now. Admittedly light use, but every time I pull it out, it works and works well. I could not fry anything at all before getting this, I had either raw food inside or else a little charcoal lump. With the temperature control termostat & elements submerged in the oil, I can now make fried foods - mainly chicken strips and fried onion rings - but I made egg rolls in it a couple of times too.

Well, my bravetti sucks ass, the cord always comes out, you jiggle it, it sparks, the window is useless on the top, the baskets FELL APART (and I only cook fries in mine, nothing heavy) and its a real shit piece. Of course, can't get anywhere with the company, and Canadian Tire is a pain in the ass and doesn't want to take the crap they sell back, so I have a $100 shit pile on my counter.
And to the dude that says put lard in it, how gross are you?! That's sick.

Besides the reset button, another owner noted that there's a thermal fuse inside as well.
That has probably blown on the units that have quit completely.

I also have been taken in by Bravetti... In 2004 I purchased this platinum pro deep fryer AND a food chopper. The food chopper went first when the blade holder broke off while chopping a cut up onion. I called Bravetti but they no longer manufactured the part (6 months after purchase of the product)... Second the deep fryer cord stopped working about a year after purchase... I ordered the cord for that particular model and received a magnetic power cord which, of course, was not the correct cord. When I called them to exchange the cord for the correct one, I was once again told they no longer manufacture this product. They then had the GALL to tell me I had to purchase a new heating unit at a price of $29.95 PLUS pay $14.90 for the power cord that the new unit needs to work. I am totally through with bravetti AND euro-pro.

We just purchased out Bravetti Deep Fryer about a month ago from Canadian Tire, It stopped working last week. Yesterday we went and got a replacement for the broken one. We brought it home and filled it with vegetable oil, turned it on to heat up. All of a sudden I seen smoke rolling out of the sides of it. It was on fire inside, So we quickly took it outside, and got the fire out. So now i'm left with melted plastic all over my new tile counter top, and piece of crap deep fryer. We'll see what the company does about this.

I, too purchased the Bravetti deep fryer several years ago from HSN. Have lost the users manual. Not sure it would help me. It worked about 3 times and hasn't worked since. The electrical cord will not stay in contact with the cooker. Who can I contact about the manual and replacement parts? Want to try it one more time

We have purchased 3 bravetti deepfryers and use them in our small restaurant. We turn them on in the morning and leave them on all day at high temp. We cook alot of fries, chicken strips/burgers, perogies and we max them out as much as we can when we have large orders. We scrub them clean almost every night and have not had a problem. Every once in a awhile there is a lemon produced in almost everything we buy, car, fridge whatever, maybe you unlucky people just got a lemon. I spray mine with oven cleaner when it still hot and they clean up like a dream. In case you don't know the cord only connects one way.
